Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 13, 2026
MyHorology ("we", "our", or "us") is a watch collection tracking app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Information We Collect
When you create an account and use MyHorology, we collect:
- Account information (name, email address) provided through your sign-in method
- Watch collection data you enter, including photos, descriptions, and wear logs
- Wishlist items you save
- Social data such as who you follow and posts you share to the Watch of the Day feed
- Location data (city/region level only), used solely to generate AI wear recommendations when you request them
- Usage data such as feature interactions, used to improve the app
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the MyHorology service
- To identify watches from photos using AI services provided by third parties, listed under Data Sharing
- To generate AI-powered watch recommendations based on your collection, location, and weather when requested
- To display your Watch of the Day posts to users who follow you (only if you choose to post)
- To allow public sharing of watches or wishlists when you generate a public link
- To improve the app based on aggregated, anonymized usage patterns
- To send you email about MyHorology, including product updates and announcements. Every such email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect your account or the service emails you need to use it
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Clerk – authentication provider that manages sign-in
- Supabase / Railway – database and hosting infrastructure
- AI providers: photos submitted for identification are sent to AI providers to identify the watch. We currently use Anthropic (Claude) and Google (Gemini API). We may use more than one provider, and the providers may change over time. Providers process these photos under their API terms. Wear recommendations are generated by Anthropic (Claude).
- OpenWeather – weather data provider. When you request an AI wear recommendation, your approximate location (city/region) is sent to retrieve current conditions.
- PostHog – product analytics used to understand feature usage and improve the app.
- Sentry – error and performance monitoring. When the app hits an error, diagnostic details are sent along with your user ID and email address so we can find and fix the problem.
- Klaviyo – email platform. Your email address, name and handle are held there so we can send you product updates and announcements, and so we can honour your unsubscribe.
- Resend – transactional email delivery for service messages such as moderation alerts.
- TikTok – advertising measurement. Pages you visit on this site are reported to TikTok so we can measure whether our ads work. This does not include the contents of your collection or your messages.
- Law enforcement or regulators, when required by law
Your Data, Your Control
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@myhorology.com. Public watch or wishlist links you have shared will also be removed.
Data Retention
We retain your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
MyHorology is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email.
